Why relief doesn’t last
You’ve treated the body. You’ve talked through the mind.
Maybe you’ve done physical therapy and felt better for a while. Maybe you’ve spent years in talk therapy and understand your own story better than anyone. And still, the pain, or the feeling of being stuck, comes back.
Mind
Talk therapy works here
This session works on the connection
Body
Physical therapy works here
In my experience, that pattern is common. Each approach does its job at its own end, and the connection between mind and body can stay untouched. When that link stays broken, relief tends to be short-lived, because the old pattern quietly overrides the new treatment.
I think of it as a broken circuit. Hands-on work, combined with the right conversation, can reach that connection in a way that talking alone, or exercises alone, usually can’t.
None of this means your pain is “in your head.” Your pain is real. Research on how the nervous system processes pain shows that thoughts, emotions and body work as one system. This session works with all of it.
A session, in one story
One question, with a hand on her hip.
A woman came to see me after hip surgery. The operation went as planned, and it changed nothing. Not better, not worse.
When I tested her, everything checked out mechanically. After about forty-five minutes I stopped. I rested my hand on her hip and let myself think. Then I asked one simple question:
“Was there anything else going on around that time?”
She began to cry, and I let her. When she was ready, she told me what had been happening in her life when the pain began. It had nothing to do with how her hip was built, and everything to do with where she was hurting.
There was nothing fancy about it. It was the right question at the right time, asked while my hand rested where she carried the pain. Her pain hadn’t been only mechanical. It was carrying something, and for the first time we could both see it.
Mind and body were never separate. This session works with them together.
What happens in the room
One hour, start to finish.
1
We begin with a guided meditation.
You close your eyes and I guide you to imagine what you would want if there were no limits. It helps you settle. It also shows me where you are: what you’re reaching for, and where you feel blocked.
2
You tell me what came up.
What you share decides where we go next. Many people living with chronic pain find themselves describing what they don’t have, and how hard they’ve tried. That isn’t a flaw. It’s information, and it’s where the work begins.
3
Hands-on work, and honest conversation.
I work with my hands where your body is holding on, and I share what I’m picking up as we go. Everything is offered for you to accept or set aside. If something doesn’t fit, tell me and we change direction. If something feels like too much, I slow down or stop, and you can stop me at any time.
4
We look at patterns.
In plain language, I explain how thoughts and emotions shape the way your body experiences pain, and where your own patterns may be getting in the way of lasting change. This is the part that asks something of you. It isn’t blame. It’s what the science shows, and it’s what makes change last.

What you leave with
Understanding that finally fits.
Most people arrive having explained their pain many times, to many people. You leave with something different: a clear read on what is holding it in place.
A clear picture
How your physical pain and your inner experience connect, in language that makes sense to you.
An honest answer
I’ll tell you plainly whether I believe I can help, and what lasting change would take for you.
A real first step
Hands-on work is part of every session, so your body gets its own attention too, and many people feel a change before they leave.
Lasting change usually takes the mind and body working together over time. In this session, we start it.
In their words
He looks at the whole person. The body, the nervous system, the emotions, the stress patterns, and the deeper things we carry without even realizing it.
“His work helped me connect the dots between what I was feeling physically and what I was holding mentally and emotionally.”

Is it right for you?
Who this is for, and who it isn’t.
This is for you if…
Your pain or stuck feeling has outlasted treatment, or relief has never lasted.
You’ve tried talk therapy, physical therapy, or both, and something is still missing.
You’re open to something different, and willing to stay open when it feels unfamiliar.
You want to understand the patterns behind your pain, not just quiet the symptoms.
It may not be the right fit if…
You’re looking for someone to fix you without looking at your own patterns.
You’d like me to prove I can sense things before we start. This work takes real energy and commitment from both of us, and I don’t do demonstrations.
You want a medical diagnosis, or treatment of a mental health condition. This session doesn’t replace your doctor or therapist.
You have new numbness or weakness, a history of cancer, a recent fracture, or an uncontrolled heart or blood pressure condition. Please see your doctor first.
I’d rather tell you now that it isn’t a fit than have you leave disappointed.
Who you’ll be working with
Rajesh Khemraj
I’ve been a physical therapist for 25 years, and I’ve spent them working hands-on with people whose pain hasn’t responded to other care.
I’m good at solving problems, and over the years the problems people brought me kept leading to the same place: physical pain and emotional pain are tied together more often than any single treatment can reach.
Since moving to Maui I’ve stopped keeping quiet about the other side of my work. I’m intuitive. As I work with people, I pick up on what they’re feeling and experiencing, and I use it to guide the session. It came naturally, not from a course. I tell you what I’m sensing as we go, and you decide what’s true for you.

Questions
Before you book.
Is this physical therapy or talk therapy?
Rajesh is a licensed physical therapist in Hawaii, but this session is not physical therapy or talk therapy. It combines hands-on manual therapy, a guided meditation and pain education. It’s meant to work alongside your doctor, physical therapist or therapist, not replace them. It is cash-pay and is not billed to insurance.
What if nothing changes that day?
You’ll still leave with a clear picture of how your pain and your inner experience connect, and my honest view of what would help next. Many people also feel a change in the room. Lasting change usually takes more than one session, and I’ll tell you what I think yours would take.
Do I have to believe in anything?
No. I’m asking for openness, not belief.
What if you say something that isn’t true for me?
Tell me right away. I welcome it. Everything I share is offered for you to accept or set aside, and I’ll change direction.
What if something that comes up feels like too much?
We slow down or stop. I decide in the moment whether it’s the right time for something heavy, and you can always ask me to pause.
Do you take insurance?
No. Sessions are cash-pay and are not billed to insurance.
Where is it held?
At the Wailea Healing Center in Wailea, Maui. You’ll get the details when you book.
How do I book?
